The PLEASURE MAKER band was created in 2001 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The intention is to produce a sound mix combining technique, melody and good choruses, while updating the Rock N Roll sound of the eighties. Main influences in the case are Winger, Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Duran Duran and Danger Danger.
Highlights from the line-up:
C. Marshall - vocalist of Fugitivos de Toquio band during four years, recorded two albums, then participated in Trucco Classic Rock band for three years as a drummer and vocalist, and nowadays also performs as a vocalist in Analfa band, known as one of the best Brazilian rock cover bands. A master of his instrument (HardRock Haven) and very good singer (Strutter Mag).
Alex Meister - guitarist for over 15 years, he participated in Thoten, a heavy metal band which performed in Brazil and in the Gods of Metal Festival in Italy, 2003. He once was sponsored by Elixir Strings and interviewed by magazines such as Guitar Player. He is a real talent (HardRock Haven), play damn well (Strutter Mag), is a guitar shredder (Sleazeroxx) and razor sharp (Rock Report).
Mark Sant'anna - bass player for over ten years, he has performed in several pop and rock bands known in the Rio de Janeiro underground musical scene.
With a support from Adriano Morais on drums, the band completed the recording of "Love On The Rocks" by the summer of 2004. Produced by Alex Meister himself and mixed by Mauricio Cruz, the album also features his old band mate from Thoten of Sidney Sohn on keyboards. The mix of striking vocals with well-worked guitars and strong choruses permeates "Love On The Rocks" in trying to recreate a Rock N Roll joyful atmosphere.
Released independently in 2005, the album is getting really good reviews by magazines and websites, not just from South America but from around the globe. One of the biggest Hard Rock web sites in the world, www.melodicrock.com, graded the album as very good, and according to the website, "the album is filled with feel good commercial hard rock, so lap it up!". Now, in 2006, SPIRITUAL BEAST is releasing the "revitalized" version of the album, re-mastered to improve the sound and features a cmpletely new artwork by Gustavo Sazes (known for Tribuzy, Fates Prophecy etc.) to the world.
